After spending a lot of time drafting wordmarks, I finally came up with the idea of using a serif type combined with a script type. For both of these types, I made subtle changes to help make the type stand out. For example, I extended and added swirl elements to the script type to help it extend and connect well with the serif type I chose. These subtle yet eye-catching design changes help make the logo stand out.
The color palette was created after extensive research. I researched many sophisticated speakeasys until I found images with an elegant color palette. Once completed, I then took the colors and mixed and matched them until I landed on this sample. The overall color palette is simple yet classy, enhancing the restaurant's upscale feel.
